Library Services works to maintain school libraries for administrators, teachers and students in the K-12 schools of Fresno County. We offer a growing collection of books aligned to California State Standards that enrich content area curriculum and a variety of educational web sites that support print learning in the classroom. In addition, regular staff development is provided to contracting schools in the use of our resources. The library staff teaches Information Literacy and visits school site libraries to provide assistance. Schools without a teacher-librarian, or in need of library consultant services can contract with FCOE Library services for guidance and assistance in the running of their library programs. Services include:
- Access to our California Standards aligned collection of books
- Access to the FCOE Portal which provides on line video streaming, subscription databases and a variety of educational web sites
- Regular staff development in Information Literacy, and collection development
- Trained assistance provided by our library staff at the school site libraries
