Lonnie, a twelve-year-old boy who still adjusting to his new foster home while dealing with the loss of both parents and being seperated from his younger sister who was placed in a seperate foster home.

Being that Lonnie is the oldest, he feels that it is his dutie to keep all of the memories alive for him and his sister so each day he writes letter that hold memories of their past, his present and plans for the future.
