All Together Now

1... 2.... 3.... 4.... can I have a little bit more!

Wow... it seems just like yesterday that I spent that glorious summer day in Boulder Colorado. Little did I know that THAT day would have such a big impact on my life... the items I've learned, the new connections I made, the new things to share. Here's a brief recap:

In the past six months, I've been able to share the Googley Goodness (did I just say that) with hundreds of teachers throughout the state, but most importantly, many of the colleagues I work with here in the office. I've shared many exciting things with my day-to-day colleagues. I've been able to make new connections with other departments that I wouldn't have normally had the opportunity to do so. Who would have thought that our Superintendent would have included this experience in his "Eye on Education" piece a few months back? Who would have predicted that I would be connected (hello Twitter) with so many great educators from around the world... we are constantly sharing ideas on a daily basis! It's been a whirlwind, but I have been able to share it with everyone (or at least, those who care to watch/read/listen!)

Not only have the past few months been exciting, what coming in the next few months is going to be just as thrilling! In this position, I don't get many opportunities to interact with kids, but a few dates have been booked with some one-to-one laptop classrooms to share some of the collaboration tools available through Google. In March, I'll travel to Palm Springs for CUE to present on multiple Google topics. I'll be featured in a local magazine (Fresno Magazine, April 2010). Who really knows what will happen next!

Personally, I just thought it would be cool to go hang out at a Google office for a day...

Special thanks to the Lead Learners at the GTA that helped create a great and memorable experience.
