You're on the list

So, it's totally late and I can't sleep. I can't get over how much attending this conference has meant to me for one key reason: connecting with my colleagues.

I keep rolling over the list of people that I've met or gotten to spend time with since my first day at NECC on Sunday till today. It may have been just introducing ourselves to say hi or spending quality time discussing and sharing ideas on how to push educational technology farther. I am truly grateful for this experience.

So, here's the list of people that I'm thinking about:

Kris Bower - thanks for the great ideas on how you and your colleagues in Oregon put together a technologists group that meets regularly just to get ideas and support one another

Adina Sullivan - nice meeting you and thanks for the info on the zazzle cards

Jon Becker - What a great guy with tons of knowledge and insight regarding professional development and leadership that works. Thanks for the insight and sharing your research.

Scott McLeod - one of the nicest guys you could ever meet

Cheryl Oakes - rockin with backchannel chat ideas right before Will and Sheryl's session. totally fun meeting you.

Chris Lehmann - gotta love the passion you carry for transforming education.

Marce - my ink sister. Thanks so much for all the laughs and hangin out. It was truly a pleasure. Don't forget to go watch SuperBad!

Mike Guerena - get those knees better. I was so glad to have been able to catch up with you a bit more and hear how well the new job is going.

Dr. Mark Wagner - pleasure as always. Happy to spend time with you for collegial discussions, laughs, or to just gush over our kids.

Steve Hargadon - the hardest working man on the conference circuit. You do a great job and I always dig when you lead a forum discussion. You get people talking.

Brian Smith - nice meeting you. Good luck with leading professional development back in NY

Emily Vickery - one of the nicest ladies I've met. Must be that Southern Charm. Looking forward to helping with the session tomorrow. I'll do my best with moderating the chat.

Will Richardson - the man just rocks and he's funnier than hell too.

David Jakes - what a great presenter and a genuinely nice guy. You have to appreciate someone who will come up, shake your hand and introduce himself. Thanks David.

Jeff Utecht - the guy who will hack anything, destroy the Global cafe wiki, and steal the internet cable from the Mac Mini. Long live the Utecht Cafe.

Ted Lai - kills me that we only saw each other in passing, but least we got to say hi. Get home safe to those kiddos.

Kevin Honeycutt - Was very glad to introduce myself to this gentleman. I really enjoy your way of relating your ideas through stories during your presentations. Touches home for a lot of people.

Lisa Parisi and Brian Crosby - the dynamic duo of bringing classes together across state lines. Great job and thanks for sharing the successes and the trials of your project.

Brett Hinton - Super Moodle Teacher. Thanks for the ideas on using the ipodcast module and of course... DRUPAL Rocks!!

There are so many more people that I've met, but might not have gotten their names and were still fun meeting as well.

Alright, I can sleep now.
